D4.2 Environmental Assessment Platform for Buildings

The purpose of this report is to present four of the SPHERE software technologies that are brought into the SPHERE ecosystem. The software tools include three, CEAT, LCCCA, and CMT, that focus on material, energy and environmental assessment of a building, utilising the component and asset information in the as-designed or as-built digital BIM information of the building. They also include a tool, the OPT that can support the decision making on what type of concrete to use for specific purposes such as maintenance and refubishment, which can then be linked to the environmental assessments. The aim of the tools is to improve the speed at which decision insights can be gained in terms of environmental impacts of different building design and retrofit decision making.
